Master of Planning in Urban Planning is a postgraduate Architecture Engineering course. Urban planning deals with the design and organization of urban space and activities city planning such as determining and drawing up plans physical arrangement and condition of a community. Urban planners are concerned with the interaction between people, the places they live in and the policies and plans that shape sustainable cities and live able communities. Urban planners work to positively influence environmental sustainability, economic innovation and social equity in urban centres. Urban Planning can be defined as the design and regulation of the uses of space that focus on the physical form, economic functions, and social impacts of the urban environment and on the location of different activities within it. The duration of the course is two years (syllabus is divided into four semesters) and it opens many career scopes for the applicants after its completion.
